Hand Painted Kitchens
Obsessive, flawless preparation and hand painted to a high quality finish free of any imperfections. New Kitchens and colour changes are our speciality!
Me and my team have renovated and redecorated many contemporary homes, period properties and modern architect designed spaces. The one thing they all have in common is that the kitchen is always the heart of the home. Clients often want their kitchen to be practical but beautiful at the same time, because it’s going to be used for family meals, entertaining friends or just a nice place to do some cooking. It’s possibly the most used space in your home.
You may be investing in a top of the range bespoke hand painted kitchen from a company such as Tom Howley or you may have an existing kitchen that needs re painting and reviving. You would be amazed what can be achieved with a fresh hand painted finish on your kitchen frame and doors and perhaps some new work surfaces and splash backs!
We can hand paint your new or existing kitchen, in your preferred colour and finish. Through perfect preparation and using high quality, durable priming and paint products your kitchen will look as good as new.
We are approved painters for Tom Howley Kitchens and travel throughout the UK painting newly fitted Tom Howley kitchens and maintaining existing hand painted kitchens. We are also very proud to have been chosen to paint kitchens in the new Tom Howley showroom in Harrogate and their existing showroom in Esher, Surrey.

A professionally hand-painted kitchen is a beautiful feature.
Aesthetically, a hand painted finish is very pleasing, and adds a wow factor to a home. Financially, hand painting an existing kitchen is also a very viable alternative to a new kitchen, achieving a total transformation for about 10-15% of the cost of a new hand painted kitchen.
Paint colour advice for a kitchen
If you are unsure how to coordinate the colour of your kitchens frame doors and cabinets with the walls, ceiling and tiles. We can provide you with a range of hand tinted colour swatches from leading paint manufacturers such as Little Greene or Farrow & Ball.
Preparation for hand-painting a kitchen
We will always carry out careful, thorough & meticulous preparation, protecting your worktops and flooring, and keeping dust to a minimum with dust free sanding. Using a citrus based degreaser and thorough sanding to ensure the vital preparation is carried out prior to the application of any paints.
Kitchen painting is all about the attention to detail.
Drawing on my traditional craft skills and in-depth knowledge of proven decorating materials, I can apply a hand-painted finish to transform your oak, pine, chestnut, laminate or MDF kitchen.
I have built a solid reputation for attention to detail and customer service and from start to finish, no stone is left unturned, to make sure that you receive the highest quality service. And when I have finished painting, your kitchen will look brand new, and stay looking good too.
Finishes
For hand-painted kitchens (and furniture) I highly recommend a selection of paints that offer superb, durable finishes including The Little Green Paint Company , Holman Paints and Annie Sloan chalk paint. All the paint finishes I use are of the highest quality and offer a durable, chip and abrasion resistant finish!
Decorative paint finishes
To compliment any painted kitchen, I can offer a range of traditional craft finishes such as liming waxes, graining & dragging, oil gilding or stenciling. More on decorative paint finishes coming soon.
